Proctor, Fighting And Baseball

Posted on August 3, 2009 - Filed Under General

I spent Saturday morning at the Proctor Arts Festival/Fair with Alex and friends.

Packed Alex into the car and drove to moms house and we walked up to Proctor.  Alex has always had some problems dealing with large crowds, it really is not his thing.

Alex started off a little slow but soon warmed up to the fact that we were doing something fun.  He liked the music, especially the drums, as it reminded him of a Caillou episode where Caillou plays the drums.

Picked up a Snow Cone and a Fireman Hat while we were there, funny Fireman Hat photo to follow.

Walking back to moms was an adventure.  We walk the side streets because it is easier to get home.   Mom was walking about 1/2 block ahead of me, and my friend Margie and Alex were walking 1/2 block behind me.

An idiot driver sped down the street, did not really slow down much at the intersection and was driving like an ass.  Mom yelled at him to slow down.

The guy flipped her off, they got 1/2 way down the block and decided to hit his brakes and back his car up to her so he could yell at her.  Not a smart move on his part.   What kind of man does that anyway?

The driver had no idea I was with her, and had no idea I was walking up to his vehicle.  I approached him and told him to keep driving and give it a rest.  That’s when he decided to tell me to shut up and call me every name in the book… all while his toddler daughter sat in the back seat.   Father of the year eh?

After running his mouth a bit, I again told him to leave before things get ugly, and told him to knock it off with his daughter in the car.   He sped off…

I waved at him while he sped off and I guess that pissed him off even more.   That is when he made another mistake.   He slammed his brakes and got out of the car.

The drive took a few steps towards me like he wanted to fight or something.  He was yelling and screaming so I approached him and told that if he wanted a piece of me that I was more than willing to knock him on his ass.

He screamed a little more, I told him to again leave before I hurt him.   I also again reminded him that he was setting a GREAT example for his daughter.

He backed up as I walked up to him and did the smart thing… got in his car and left.

I am usually not the kind of person to get in someones face like that, but man was he asking for it.

Spent the evening with Travis at the Rainiers game, fun as usual.   Really enjoy the baseball games with him right now.

We just have fun and it is a great escape for both of us considering all of the issues at home right now.

Wednesday, Travis and I get to lace up our shoes and hit baseballs at Cheney Stadium!  A perk for season ticket holders.   We get to go on the field and hit baseballs just like the pros.  So cool!
