Deeeeeeeeee

Last night we had a visitor.  Deanette!

I have known Deanette my entire life, she is like a second mother to me and friends with my mom.  Deanette has a son my age, so growing up we spent a lot fo time together.  Wonderful woman and a special part of my life.

Deanette lives in southern Washington, so we do not get to see her much.  Alex, has only seen her when he was a small baby.

Yesterday, for a few hours, Deanette was Alexanders world.  She spent time with him on the floor playing and nothing else mattered to him.   Me, mom and Travis were afterthoughts to Alexander.  Everything was “Deeeeeeee”.

It was amazing to see Alex gravitate towards a complete stranger like that.  He tends to shy away, and I have never seen him this excited over some one new.

He was heartbroken when she left.  Alex gave her a goodbye smooch, but wouldn’t hand them out to anyone else.

When I put him to bed last night, he was still asking me for “Deeeeeee” and telling me all about his play time.

So Deanette, if you are reading this…  you made quite the impression on Alex.

I enjoyed Alex as much as he enjoyed our playtime together. He is cute and full of life and wonder.
I also enjoyed Travis: such a sweet boy and such an honor for me that he showed me his work and took the time to explain about how he accomplished it. Thanks Travis, you are great.
David, enjoy your boys; they will so quickly be men.
