Party Hats Gone, Words And Smooching

Sorry, no photos of Alex and party hats. They did not turn out and were a mess so not worth posting.
It does not matter now as the party hat fashion statement appears to have come and gone. Alex is no longer interested in the hats and has moved back to his normal attire.
I guess when every day is your bithday, it gets old and the fun factor goes away.

Alex is talking a little better. I see improvement every day with him. He is really getting behind “dad, dad-DEE and da-da” now. The “dad-DEE” was a word that took a long time.
I have Alex saying “puppa” for Niko. He used to say things really high pitched, to the point where only dogs can hear him. I have him kind of saying “puppa” with a growl so that he uses a lower pitch. It sounds kind of funny but it works.
Alex is trying hard but his progress seems to be so slow. I just wish he could speak better so we could eliminate some of his frustration when he is trying to communicate with us.

Alex has returned to his smooching ways and has been handing them out quite a bit.
Bed time now consists of putting him down and giving him a smooch. Then we have to smooch all of the stuffed animals and say “nigh-nigh” to them.
The last and most important step is… we have to smooch the blanket as well. I have no idea why, but it is very important to Alex that we smooch the blanket before we cover him with it.
