It Started With A Bye Bye

Alex is talking. Like real talking.
A switch just flipped and out of nowhere he said “bye bye” to mom when she was leaving the other day. It was kind of a shock.
Now Alex is trying to say words that we never thought he knew. It’s like aliens replaced my kid with their version of him.
After months of being frustrated that he was not talking, and being told that he was behind, this comes as a pleasant surprise. Makes me feel a little guilty for not letting him come around on his own a little bit and almost expecting too much from him.
Lesson learned.
