New Kindle Owner

My wife understands what makes her gadget geek husband happy and picked up an Amazon Kindle for me as an early fathers day gift.

The Kindle is a wireless reading device that let’s me carry all of my books, newspapers and magazines on a single storage unit. I can carry it and read anywhere without having to carry several books around. I’ve spent hours just playing around with it, buying new books and transferring free ebooks to the Kindle and now have a decent sized library that should keep me busy for the next month.

I like the fact that I can buy books right from the Kindle without having to find and use an open connection. The built-in connection is great (and free!) making the book buying experience pretty painless.

I’d write more about it but the link to the Kindle page will tell you all about what it can do.

My only complaint right now is that there are not enough books available. I’d like to see more tech reference books that I can use for work related tasks available. I hope that it expands as the popularity of the Kindle grows.
