Baby Life - Week 42

Alex is 10 months old today, and he decided to celebrate in style.
The “army man” crawl is a thing of the past and Alex has moved on to a regular baby crawl. This is important because it leads into the next accomplishment.
The past week Alex has been working hard to pull himself up into a stand using any available item for balance. All of his hard work paid off when he took his first steps last night! He is still pretty unstable, but we have him walking four to five steps now before he falls.
The funny thing about all of this is that it just happens in the blink of an eye. One moment you are used to them crawling and doing their normal baby stuff and then a switch is flipped and they decide to start walking. Of course this opens up an entire world to him now, and makes me feel like I am on double duty while watching him because I know he will get into things.
My mother was here last night and commented on how easy Alex has been during his baby stage, and she is right. Alex is able to entertain himself for hours and he is generally a happy little guy.
