Baby Life - Week 38
Posted on July 25, 2007 - Filed Under Baby Life, General, Life
Alex hit the 9 month mark this week which included a visit to the doctor for his checkup. Alex is a healthy 20lbs and is 2 1/2 inches longer from his 6 month visit. The doctor says that he is still in the 75% for size, meaning he is a big boy.
Crawling has accelerated from small distances to full blown marathon crawling. Alexander’s version of crawling is more like a “military belly crawl” where he pulls himself along on his stomach. Alex will not get on his knees to crawl because we have hard wood floors and it’s not comfortable.
We are not getting much sleep this week because we are transitioning Alex to sleep from our bed to his crib. He manages a few hours before the crying starts and then we wait for him to burn out. It’s tough listening to him cry and we feel terrible but it’s part of the process. I’ve rigged a camera above his crib so we can see him from our bedroom to make sure he is ok but still feel guilty letting him cry.
We hope that the sleepless nights end soon and he is comfortable enough to sleep though the night.
