Congratulations Lincoln High School Class of 2007

Posted on June 13, 2007 - Filed Under General, Life, Tacoma

Last night we were filled with pride as we watched our first son, Sean, graduate from Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Washington.  This was a huge event for us and we are beaming with admiration for Sean.  As a father and step-father these are the days and nights you will never forget.

Sean was surrounded by numerous friends and family members including parents, step-parents, brothers and a sister, uncles, aunts and grandparents.  He was well represented!

When Sean first came to live with us school was somewhat difficult.  The later parts of grade school and early middle school years were tough.  Homework was a drag and there were a lot of unhappy times during the homework nights at the table.  Toni always kept at Sean making sure he was getting his work done and willing to help him with projects when he need it.  She deserves a lot of credit.

I am positive that these nights spent together with him helped shape his outlook and work ethic for high school, enabling him to succeed as a young man and we will be forever proud of this moment.

So what does a new graduate do now that he doesn’t have to worry about school?  Get some extra sleep? Relax?  Not Sean.   Sean left at 8am this morning to work with his father because he needs money for car insurance.

Congratulations Sean, we are so very proud of you.
