Baby Life – Week 5

Posted on November 27, 2006 - Filed Under Baby Life, Life

During football season Sundays are spent in from of the television cheering the Seahawks and Redskins to victory.  We also try to throw in a few curses towards the Dallas Cowboys while we are at it because they are the enemy!

With the Redskins game in the books with a win over Carolina and the Seahawks playing a Monday night game there wasn’t much to get excited about the rest of the day so it was nap time!

Things are going smooth with Alexander.  He has found his voice and has a much louder cry now.  I don’t hear him when I am sleeping, and most nights he is only up a few times so it’s not too bad.

Alexander is learning to smile and his expressions have become more animated when something catches his eye.

We leave him with Sean and Travis while doing things around the house… until he cries.  That’s when the boys lose the cool big brother exterior and start calling for mom and dad to check a diaper or feed him.  They want nothing to do with a diaper change and I don’t blame them.  It’s nasty business and I have been told that once Alex starts solid food diaper duty becomes somewhat of a nightmare.

We had a light dusting of snow last night with more expected this week.  The boys are excited because that means school is closed and they get a free day or two to have some fun.  The snow presents a new challenge for Sean now that he is driving and Toni cautioned him a thousand times about the perils of driving on ice before he walked out of the house this morning.  The look on his face was priceless.  It was the “please mom I am an adult now but I’m still glad you worry about me” look and it was great.
