Catching Up With The Lepores

Happy Thanksgiving!

We hosted this years event at the Lepore Castle in south Tacoma.  Great food and drink and a good time with family today.  What more can you ask for?

Alexander hit the one month mark today and it seems like he is growing fast and this was confirmed when I tried to put him into an infant diaper the other day.  It was a tight fit!  This week gave us our first look at his smile and he continues to smile more as the days pass us by.  I spend lots of time just looking at him and am still amazed I have a newborn son.

Last night we decided to have a poker tournament between myself, Toni and the boys.  There was deception at every turn, furious betting and lots of fun.  Travis was eliminated first due to his aggressive betting early on.  Toni was almost the next one out but fought her way back to eliminate Sean.  I finally crushed Toni to end the tournament and crowned myself Poker King.  Toni told me that she let me win the last few hands because she wanted to go to bed.   Sour grapes I say.

I found a few statistical sites I wanted to pass along.  The first is Neighboroo which allows you to check stats on crime, housing costs, income, commute times and more for any location in the United States.  The second is Washington Crime Stats featuring detailed stats on (you guessed it) crime in Washington State.

I am spending my days off resting and playing games. I am playing a “survival” game called UnReal World and having a great time with it. Unreal world is a graphical rouge-like game/survival simulator by Sami Maaranen, that has been developed for close to 14 years. The game features RPG elements like character stats and skills combined with a rich world set in the Finnish iron-age, complete with its own mythology and magic. You create a character with different skills and are dropped into a randomly generated world where your goal is to survive.

No need to point out my geekness, I am well aware of it!
