Baby Life - Week 1
Posted on October 31, 2006 - Filed Under Life, Pregnancy
We survived the first week with Alexander and things are finally easing into a routine.
We are all a little tired but it has been worth it.
The first few nights home Alexander was waking up ever few hours wanting to nurse or needing a diaper change. He never really cries when this happens, it sounds more like a whimper. Once he is taken care of he falls right back to sleep making things easy for us.
Bath time is not his favorite and that is the only time we really hear him cry. Typical boy, he doesn’t want to take a bath.
I am getting better at changing his diapers now and it gets easier each time I change him. It isn’t as bad as people have made it sound, either that or he hasn’t laid down a massive enough poop yet. I’m sure a time will come where I’ll want to call a hazardous materials team to come and change him but for now, things are cool.
I fed him for the first time today and like everything else, it was pretty easy. He drank about 2oz of milk, burped and went back to sleep.
Thanks to everyone for their support and the visits. We appreciate it!

Awesome picture! Does this mean you got the new digital camera? If so, this inquiring mind needs to know what you chose. If not, this happy consumer would be glad to attempt to talk you into our favorite!!!
Still using the old crappy camera, just got lucky with this picture. :)
