Dollar Store Witch

Travis loves the dollar store and always finds interesting items when he is shopping. The dollar store is a kid paradise because you can find random, odd items and they are only a dollar!

Travis returned from his latest shopping excursion with something that rivals the terror of our Seep and Snore Ernie doll. A dollar store witch.

The dollar store witch is the same size as the Ernie doll but outshines Ernie when it comes to flair. It has a hideous, wrinkled face and an outfit that shines. It also comes complete with a broom and little creepy witch shoes.

When Travis came home with the doll he told me to close my eyes and put my hands out saying he had a special gift for me. I should have known it was going to be something bad by the look in his eyes. He dropped it into my hands and I knew it was not going to be a good thing when I opened my eyes and I was right.

It freaked me out a little bit and I told him to get it away from me while he laughed and laughed at my reaction. He told me that he was going to hide it under a pillow in Seans room and wandered off with the witch.

When I go to bed at night, the bedroom is usually dark because Toni goes to bed before me and by habit I am able to make my way across the room and into bed without walking into stuff. So I head upstairs and make my way to the bed like I normally do, I reach down to move the covers and adjust my pillows, and that’s when my hand grabbed the dollar store witch. Travis had placed it on my pillow.

After my initial shock I decided that it was payback time. I creeped downstairs to check on Travis and found him in a deep sleep. I placed the dollar store witch right next to him in the bed making sure her head was on his pillow next to his face.

He found her the next morning… and war was declared!

We’ve been playing the “hide the dollar store witch” game for a few nights now trying to come up with creative ways to scare the poop out of each other. Never a dull moment in our house.
