Needles, Instant Message and Broken PDA

Posted on September 20, 2006 - Filed Under General

Here is a quick middle of the week update for you.

The ultra sound went great yesterday and the baby looks good.  The doctor estimates that the baby is in the 5lb. 8oz. range right now which puts him in the upper 60% range for size.

Toni had to get a shot yesterday… in the butt!  Toni carries the kel antibody and as a precaution she was given a shot to prevent any complications with the baby.   This is not an ordinary needle!  The needle is big and they have to go DEEP when they stab you.  I swear, they jabbed that thing 2 inches into her butt and as painful as it was to watch I can only imagine how painful it was to go through.

We found out that Toni wont get staples after her c-section!  Our doctor prefers to use an under the skin stitch method that leaves no scar.  This was good news for Toni because the pain and recovery time are worse when staples are used.

I have enabled a live messaging feature on the site.  On the right side you should see a box that says “Chat” and it will show my status as on or offline.  If I am online you can send me an instant message.

I can’t stand to be without my Dell Axim X30 PDA.  It keeps my contacts and appointments ready, it reminds me of things that I forget about, and it gives me net access if I can find a wifi hotspot.  Sadly it died this past weekend when the bottom connector pins fell out of the bottom of the unit.  This means that I couldn’t sync or recharge the unit so… it was dead.  Dell replaced the unit free of charge but I lost a ton of data due to a corrupt backup and have spent this week trying to get it back up and running the way I like it.
